Cardiopulmonary Respiratory TherapyServices

When it come to caring for the lungs we have incorporated some of the more up to date equipment to include Lung Plethysmograpy, which is enables us to perform a very detailed study of the lungs.  The information obtained from this study helps the physician to diagnosis a variety of lung diseases (asthma emphysema, chronic bronchitis etc.) and to what degree they may have progressed, as well as giving them the area of lung damage, the percentage of damage, and Etc.. This will help the physician know how to treat his/her patient to ensure that they have a full and as active a life as possible.

The Respiratory Care Department of Chester Regional Medical Center recently received recognition from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) as being a Provider of Quality Respiratory Care, for providing quality respiratory care services to their patients and their community.

Cardiac Holter monitoring is also offered by CRMC, this is a 24 hr tracing of the heart and its activity, involving the patient coming in for a "hook up", to a monitor that will monitor this activity returning in 24 hrs for removal of the unit.  Cardiac Stress testing is also performed at CRMC, we do exercise studies as well as medication studies for patients who may not be able exercise for various reasons.
