Pharmacy Services

The Department of Pharmacy provides comprehensive clinical and distributive services to the patients served by our inpatient and outpatient areas.
The pharmacy supports state-of-the-art an automated dispensing cabinets and a computerize/bar coded based medication administration system. These systems assist in providing safe and timely medication administration to our patients.
The Pharmacy also compounds and mixes IV solutions not commercially available that are ordered for our patients by our physicians. These preparations are aseptically compounded by trained/certified Pharmacy technicians utilizing clean air hoods, which help insure the integrity and sterility of the final product.
Pharmacists review each medication order to screen for allergies, interactions and appropriate/optimal use. Pharmacists provide assistance to physicians in selecting and dosing critical care drugs, including antibiotics, to provide safe and effective drug treatment to our patients.
